I recently took my one-year-old daughter to a sensory session with Sensory Atelier. The set-up of the session was absolutely beautiful and so inviting for little ones and adults alike. 

There was a great range of experiences set up for all interests and they were suitable for varying ages. 

My daughter has always missed out on sensory play sessions as she has many food allergies. Nikkie asked about this before I even mentioned it and she went above and beyond to ensure my girl could play in an ALLERGY-SAFE space. 

In the lead up to the session Nikkie was always available to answer questions and responded quickly. 

I found the location easy to find. We had plenty of shade and the view of the city was stunning!

Both my children, 9 months and 3 years loved our session at the sensory atelier so much! As a parent with a background in education I really appreciated this session too. There is a range of thoughtful experiences that supported various learning opportunities, offering more than I could at home on one given occasion. But best of all stress free, it was so nice walking into the space ready to go, and when we were done not having the huge clean up task. We had an exciting Wiggle Theme Sensory Play Session that was both fun and educational! Children engaged with wiggle theme characters and participated in activities that encouraged sensory exploration, creativity, and cognitive development. They made fruit salad/ate fruit I would say😅, which helped them practice fine motor skills and learn about healthy food choices. The Emma potion play promoted imaginative play and helped children develop their social skills. In the Hot Potato and Cold Spaghetti Kitchen, they explored different textures and learned about cause and effect. The ABC Slime activity was a great way for kids to develop their literacy skills and learn about letters and words. To top it off, each child received a Wiggle Headband to encourage imaginative play and creativity at home. Rainy days can't dampen our Sensory sessions! From exploring Italian garden salads to milking a cow, we had a blast experiencing all sorts of textures and tastes today! Even with the light showers, we made the most of every experience. The children didn't mind the close quarters at all!! Our Garden potion play supoorted children develop their creativity and imagination, while the Peter Rabbit garden helped them learn about different types of vegetables and animals. Feed the farm animals was a great way to teach children about responsibility and compassion for animals. The farm and tractors experience was hands-on activity that help children learn about farming and the environment. Milking a cow was a great sensory experience for children as it provides a hands-on opportunity to learn about the process of milking and the importance of cows in our food production. A big thanks to all the families who braved the weather and brought their little ones to play.
