🌸 A Journey, Not Just a Class

Sensory Atelier sessions aren’t just your regular Sensory Play sessions. it’s a guided learning journey that unfolds over the term. By holding space for children to return to familiar experiences while also introducing new provocations each week, we nurture both a sense of security and a spirit of exploration.

We’ve previously welcomed many families and filled our spaces quickly. so this term, we’re being intentional with numbers to preserve the magic of small-group learning and ensure each child feels deeply seen, supported, and part of our growing sensory village.

  • A picnic setup with a low wooden table placed on a pink daisies patterned blanket under a large tree in a park. The table has decorative items, including a potted plant, a basket, binoculars, and a colorful sign that says 'The Big Book of Bloom.' The background features a grassy area with trees, parked cars, and a clear blue sky with some clouds.

    ✺Montessori Corner

A dedicated Montessori area for children nestled among the trees.

  • Children and adults gathered around a wooden table outdoors, decorating with seashells, ribbons, and craft supplies for a mermaid-themed craft activity.

    ✺Process Art Lessons

Each child will participate in weekly process art sessions led by a qualified art teacher. For more information on the weekly art program, please see the details below

  • Children and adults gathered under trees in a park for an outdoor event, with some seated on the grass and others standing, watching a performer sitting on a pink blanket.

    ✺Engaging Stories Telling and Singing

Our storytelling sessions will be inspired by the Steiner philosophy, focusing more on storytelling than reading from books to enhance children’s imaginations and creativity.

  • Three young children having a picnic outdoors on a grassy area, surrounded by various food items in bowls and jars on a large tray, with a girl in a gray shirt holding a glass jar and two others engaging with her.

    ✺Sensory Play

Taste-safe and nature-inspired sensory activities will support children aged 6 months to 6 years.

  • A young girl with a bun hairstyle, wearing a light-colored jacket, is standing at a rustic table outdoors under a large tree. The table has wooden food props, leaves, pinecones, and jars, resembling a pretend food or picnic setup. Hanging from a wooden frame above are several hanging brown gourds or pumpkins. In the background, there is a grassy field, trees, and houses under a partly cloudy sky.

    ✺Healthy Morning Tea

A nutritious morning tea will be provided for little ones to enjoy during the session.

A young girl with curly hair, wearing a blue cap and a colorful floral dress, is painting a picture of a fish on a watercolor palette at a small outdoor art station. The setup includes a wooden box, a board for her artwork, and a wicker table with a flower arrangement, situated outdoors on a sunny day with a grassy field and residential buildings in the background.

How the Program Works

The Wholesome Explorers Program™ runs as a 1.5 hour session, once a week, offering an intentional rhythm that supports deep, sensory-rich learning without overwhelm.

Session Time:
10.00am to 11.30am - SPRING SESSION STARTS AT 10.00M

Each session unfolds gently over 1.5 hours, allowing children to settle, explore, and connect at their own pace.

This term, we’re embracing a more focused and intentional approach—creating a slower, more spacious rhythm that nurtures learning as a journey, not a rush. To support this, we’re capping our group numbers, ensuring every child receives meaningful guidance, attention, and space to thrive.

Highlights of our sessions:

Rhythm of the Morning - 1.5 Hour Play

Craft Work to Take Home: Every session includes a hands-on craft activity your child can proudly take home.

Engaging Start: We'll start each session with a song and introductions, fostering connections among friends and family. This initial interaction sets the stage for a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

Morning Tea for Children: Children will have healthy, safety-approved morning tea to share at every Friday session.

We wrap the session with a story and singing session.

Location: South Perth Foreshore 6151

Time : 10.00am to 11.30am
